SKG (Stichting Kwaliteitscentrum Gevelbouw), is an independent body that has been monitoring security product quality and safety for more than 35 years. This independent body tests mounting fittings, locks and latches for strength and durability, and monitors the quality of these products by randomly testing them. When a product passes SKG's inspection, you have a guarantee that it is actually burglar-resistant.

Nauta also has a lot of fittings and lock products that are tested and certified by SKG, and entitled to carry the well-known mark with stars. The number of stars indicates how burglar-resistant the product is and how much time the average burglar will need to force the product open (lock, fittings, cylinder, etc.).

SKG 1 star

Products with one SKG star are not burglar-resistant. This means that these products must always be used in combination with at least one other product with equivalent or heavier certification. The number of stars ultimately indicates whether burglar intrusion is delayed by three or five minutes.

SKG 2 stars

Products with two SKG stars can be used autonomously. The SKG** quality mark on hinges and lock fittings ensures that burglar penetration will be delayed by at least three minutes.

SKG 3 stars

Products with three SKG stars can be used autonomously and are more heavily burglar-resistant. Products with an SKG *** quality mark must be capable of delaying a burglar with heavy tools for at least five minutes.

additional skg stars

These products can be used as supplementary security and will only offer sufficient protection against burglars when used in combination with products with an SKG ** and SKG *** quality mark.
